The creative team of Urban Village carves out a bunch of signature products and a whole range of corporate gift items to suit every occasion and sensibility.

Gombhira Masks:- Gombhira is a typical folk dance popular in north Bengal practised by the tribal people. These masks depicting visages of animals like monkey, tiger, gods and goddesses such as Kali, Shiva and also of demons and characters of daily life are made using locally available seasoned wood. Male dancers wear or hold these masks with suitable attire and dance to the beats and tunes of drummers and local flute players to worship their deities. Urban Village brings forth these masks in myriad forms.

Sarangi:- This artifact from North Bengal in its original form and shape is a musical instrument made of seasoned wood with intricate carvings on it. Our in-house designers with their innovative ideas have transformed these musical equipments into Urban Village signature 'Sarangi Lamp'.

Green Cane Mat 'Sitalpatti':- Mat weaving is an ancient art form of India. 'Sitalpatti' or ‘cool mats’ are one such that are used extensively as bedspreads all over Bengal during summer time. The quality of sitalpatti mat is judged by its smooth texture, fine finish and glossiness. Urban Village has created a wide array of products like coasters, tablemats, trays, cushion covers, folders, files and baskets out of these sitalpatti mats. Produced by award-winning crafts person, we present the ordinary sitalpati merging with silk, leather and denim to come up with an exclusive range of ladies party bags with an quintessential appeal to the urban women.

Batik:-Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore brought the technique of Batik to Shantiniketan from Indonesia. Under his artistic guidance the art form was successfully transferred on to leather later known as ‘Shanti-Leather’. Urban Village in its effort to promote this exquisite craft has created some beautiful Note Pads, Telephone Index Book, Visiting Card Holders, Bags, Purses, Coin Purses, Photo Frames and many more utility products.

Handmade Paper:- This special kind of paper is usually manufactured by recycling waste. Raw materials such as cotton rags, agro fibers like jute, straw, banana etc are used. West Bengal has a long tradition in papermaking. The sheer appeal and the art of making hand made paper has inspired Urban village to design exclusive Telephone Index Books, Note Books, Note Pads, Visiting Card Holders, Photo Frames and specially its signature line of the 'Kolkata' and 'Babu-Bibi' Photo Albums.

Metal craft 'Dhokra':- The Kamar tribes are the traditional metal smiths of West Bengal. They follow a unique technique of metal casting known as Dhokra, named after their tribe. Till today, this ancient folk craft depict the culture and beliefs of these tribes. Designers of Urban Village in association with the Dhokra artisans have designed an exclusive range of home décor accessories and novelties. The various collectibles include Jewellery Boxes, Tea Light Candle Stands, Brush Holders, Hanging and Figure Bells, Figurines, Pendants along with ‘Babu-Bibi Collection’ & ‘Tribal Folkarts’ in Pen Stands, Tea Light Holders, daily life figurines, mementos and many more.

Jute:- The ‘golden fibre’ has traditionally been woven and knotted and braided by women of Bengal, often for domestic storage. Bengal is a major producer of jute-products ranging from plush jute-blended carpets, decorative tapestries, garden pot hangings, elegant handbags to bedspreads and more. Urban Village launches its signature jute products in form of crochet bags, ‘Babu-Bibi’ jute Bags and Notebooks.
